Empire Period Vermeil Vinegar Cruet Hallmark 1st Rooster flag

Object description :

"Empire Period Vermeil Vinegar Cruet Hallmark 1st Rooster"
Vinegar cruet in vermeil (solid gilded silver) from the Consulate period. Beautiful decor called return from Egypt to the gryphons, on an openwork terrace. The use of the 1st rooster hallmark makes it possible to reduce the manufacturing period to 1798-1809, and the LGL goldsmith hallmark which has not been identified at this stage of our research. Our vinegar oiler is a very fine example of the refined silverware from the late 18th century / very early 19th century. It is a beautiful collector's item, all the more rare as it is in vermeil. It comes with two bottles - oil and vinegar - in Creusot crystal from the early 19th century, with their stoppers. Everything is in excellent condition, no dents or missing decorations, perfect bottles. Length: 23cm Width: 12cm Height: 31cm Net silver weight: 660g
