Pewter Eawer - Besançon, 18th Century

AIGUIERE in pewter with flared horizontal throat, molded pedestal and C-shaped handle with draped stock and molded pouring spout. It is decorated with a central baguette.
Control mark on the city's arms: columned eagle / (CO)MM(VN).
Incompletely affixed hallmark from an unidentified master: crowned hammer / (17)66 / (-).C.(-).
Stamped property mark: IBV
Height: 21.5 cm.
BESANçON, Last third of the 18th century.

Consolidation of the pouring spout
The cost of manufacturing the molds was very high, hence this observation of a model created at the end of the 17th century and still published at the end of the 18th century
