Admitted to the Stanislas Academy in 1887, Ch. de Meixmoron became its president in 1900. He published monographs of Lorraine artists such as Etienne Cournault, Emile Friant, Charles Sellier, Claude le Lorrain, in the Mémoires de l'Académie de Stanislas.
