Caesar: Bronze Of The Grand Tour, Late 19th Century flag

Object description :

"Caesar: Bronze Of The Grand Tour, Late 19th Century"
Rare and important bronze sculpture with brown patina, representing the Augustus Emperor Julius Caesar (Born July 12 or 13, 100 BC in Rome and died March 15, 44 BC in the same city). Very beautifully crafted Italian work, from the second half of the 19th century.
Our work, extremely rare on the market, is in line with the bronzes, in memory of the Grand Tour.
Indeed, all the codes that are found in our statue enhance the character, but above all the virtues that characterize him.
The outfit of our emperor, wearing a laurel wreath, takes up that of the statue erected at the Temple of Venus the Genitrix in Rome. The position is also similar. The emperor posing, but ready to move, holds with delicacy and confidence, in his left hand a spear, symbol of strength, power and ambitious design, while his right hand rests along his body, holding a half-rolled parchment, and at his feet another parchment, on which “Roma” is engraved.
