Late 19th, early 20th centuries France, Ottoman Empire (?) Interesting reticle or small purse called Turkish style for its obvious references to orientalism and the turceries of the Belle Epoque. Flap pouch in cream wool felt and pink glazed cotton lining. Hand embroidery with cotton-core metallic threads, gold sequins, and silver thread chenillettes trimmings. Decor in concentric circles punctuated with sequins, fringes, crescent and five-pointed star in chenillette embroidery. Silver metal braid handle. Excellent condition of color and conservation. Dimensions: height 22 cm, width 18 cm, fringes 5 cm.
