"Silk Embroidery In Its Golden Frame From The 18th Century"
Extraordinary state of conservation of this gilded wooden frame from the 18th century and this petit point embroidery, very probably in silk, from the same period or perhaps a little earlier... With its original back and background never apparently deframed , it had to be kept away from light and in a preserved place to be in this practically new condition after so many years. Gilded carved wooden frame with its original gilding in perfect condition and silk thread embroidery in perfect condition too: mother and her young child in her arms, in front of a wooded landscape with a background of column and castle. The colors are soft and have remained fresh, without alteration. Rare object due to its state of conservation. and sweet. Dimensions: 34x27.5 CMS excluding frame. With its frame: 44x37.5 CMS.
