"Indian Spiked Mace"
An impressive Indian mace from the 19th century. The headset is nicely weighted and made of steel, the circumference is fitted with 12 faceted spikes. The ball is further crowned by a long spike. The steel shaft with a pierced iron 'whistle' at the top. A feature often added to arms that swung through the air while attacking an opponent. The grip part of the shaft with two ball-shaped protections. Good condition with light pitting on the surface. 19th century 70 cm in total. (Sphere measures 7cm)
