Very pretty drawing in three pencils by Marcel Coucy representing a portrait of an elegant lady, circa 1925 signed lower right + I am offering with a handwritten letter from the artist. Format of the hors marie louise drawing 44x34cm and 55x45cm fits everywhere included. It is therefore a superb drawing in three pencils, charcoal, black pencil and red chalk representing a portrait of a young woman, an elegant woman with a pixie cut from the 1925 Art Deco period. We once again have proof that Couci in addition to being an excellent painter was also a very good designer, even in many of his drawings we can notice a fairly strong resemblance and influence of his friend and master Léon Detroy. After beginning in Paris frequenting the Bateau Lavoir and the few great painters who gravitated to Paris at that time, or the great poets and writers, he became very intimate with Mac Orlan, the Great War put a brake on his progress since he will even be injured; it is from there that he prefers to come to convalesce in Gargillesse where he will meet Detroy and even his wife who was none other than the owner of the Hotel des Artistes.
