"19th Century Terracotta Statuette"
Charming little terracotta statuette from the beginning of the 19th century in the intimate style of a Chardin. This young peasant girl with a basket on her arm and a rolled-up petticoat is delicious. the face is delicate and fine under the lace cap. It is an original work modeled directly in a heavy clay, without signature but beautifully made, a beautiful work where the movement is lively and the posture graceful. We will love its original patina. It is in good condition, 15cm but an old restoration can be seen on one ankle, another on the wrist.
