Superb and rare patinated bronze sculpture representing a young girl sitting on a spring drinking from a shell, the sculpture rests on a gilded bronze base. Signed Math Moreau for Mathurin Moreau (1822 - 1922).
Mathurin Moreau is a French sculptor renowned for decorative sculptures, his Brothers Hippolyte and Auguste are also sculptors. Louis XVI style, a French work around 1860-1870.
