It was used as a perfume bottle by its last owner because a slight fragrant smell remains.
The bottle is ovoid, in red tinted glass.
It is topped with a large, high frame in solid gold entirely chiselled with flowers and foliage forming curves and counter-curves.
The inside of the lid contains a spring-loaded glass plate which ensures the watertightness of the bottle.
The inside of the lid is marked: Diller with a closed crown.
It is most likely an English work from the end of the 19th century.
The mount bears a French posterior census hallmark ensuring a minimum title of 18k: owl.
Magnificent large salt bottle, remarkable for the size and the work of the solid gold frame.

Very good state. Scratches to the glass. There are small remains of odorous product in the bottle that I did not clean.
