Representation of a young Spanish woman in traditional dress in the streets of a Spanish city (Jerez?). The painter, Adolfo del Aguila y Pimentel (circa 1830-circa 1895) was born in Jerez where he worked as a painter as well as in Cádiz. He was a teacher of drawing and ornament in Jerez where he had two of his sons, Adolfo and Luis del Aguila y Acosta, as students.
