"Louis XIII Style Middle Desk In Solid Oak, Twisted Feet, Foliage Decor, XIX"
Very beautiful Louis XIII style middle desk in solid oak from the second half of the 19th century. It rests on four legs turned in twists and connected together by an H-shaped spacer also twisted and ending in four balls. Our desk opens on the front with two drawers fitted with two wrought iron “drop of water” handles. The entire belt, as well as the fronts of the drawers, are entirely carved with a pretty decoration representing foliage garlands. The framed top has a perimeter entirely decorated with pretty bec de corbin work and decorated with a semi-circle frieze. Note, some small gaps on the base crosspiece of the crotch due to the age and use of this piece of furniture, without any influence on the aesthetics.
