"Entrance To Property, Napoleon III Period"
Elegant entrance to a property, from the Napoleon III period, from the city center of Toulon, with a total length of 667 cm. The hard Cassis stone pillars, topped with cast iron Medici cups, are cut with table bosses on three faces, except on the exterior face of the first three elements of the right pillar originally attached to the property wall. The beautifully crafted gate opens with two leaves, for a passage width of 269 cm, locking with a working cremone bolt. A pedestrian gate with a width of 80 cm is provided to the right of the entrance, the left side being fixed. All seals are intact, ready for installation. A single old imperfection should be noted on a veiled upper peak, see our penultimate photo. The pillars with a height of 248 cm plus 50 cm of cast iron capitals and cups are designed to be sealed 15 cm into the ground, they have a base of 106 x 58 cm for a height of 82 cm. The two curved leaf opening guide rails are provided, our last photo. The section of the frames is 30 mm squared and the diameter of the bars is 24 mm. The weight of each pillar is almost 4 tons.
