"Louis XVI / Directory Period Secretary In Mahogany And Speckled Mahogany Veneer, 18th Century"
Superb secretary from the Louis XVI / Directory period in mahogany and speckled mahogany veneer, trefoil barrel locks, late 18th century. Our piece of furniture opens on the front with four drawers and a flap revealing a theater comprising two niches and seven drawers. Very beautiful tan leather gilded with a small iron. Fluted front uprights, spinning top legs surrounded by a brass net. Beautiful dark gray marble. Our furniture has cloverleaf locks, the one on the flap has its key and works. The drawer locks do not have keys and two of the trefoils are missing. Furniture in superb home condition, two small veneer grafts should be noted on the bottom of the flap (see photo 10). The rear legs have two very small gaps in woodwork, without the slightest impact (photo 11). Very beautiful patina.
