"Oil On Canvas Edmond Alet Painter Toulouse (1877-1917)"
Work representing a scene of daily life in the countryside by the painter Edmond ALET Toulouse painter signed and dated 1910. Coming from a modest background, with his brother Maurice (1874-1967) they settled in Toulouse and took classes from the wood workshop by Jean Riviere to the school of fine arts before founding the store "La ruche" where they manufactured and sold furniture of which Edmond was in charge of the painting and decoration part. There were two of them important characters of Toulouse life. Note a major exhibition of all their creativity will be dedicated to them by the Musée du Vieux Toulouse in 2017 (fiftieth anniversary of Maurice's death)
