''Mr. André Kauffer [native of Nancy] is a dilettante. He walks his easel with equal joy in sunny countries and classic sites of art and picturesqueness, the South, Corsica, Italy, Naples, Sicily, Algeria, Spain. It is from this last nation that he brought back the most significant impressions, Seville and Granada provided him with the opportunity to fully display his solid talent made of sincerity, boldness and elegance.
