"Table Of Flags That Most Nations Display At The Sea Color Engraving On Arches Paper"
TABLE OF FLAGS THAT MOST NATIONS FLY AT THE SEA Color engraving representing 99 maritime flags in 1756, bearing the inscription: "Made at the repository of maps and plans of the Navy for the service of the King's vessels by Order of Mr. de Machault Keeper of the Seals of France By St Bellin Engineer of the Navy 1756 ". Copy on ARCHES bistre  (darker than on the slides) watermarked paper, original watercolor. Dimensions: 56 cm x 75 cm sheet 50 cm x 60 cm at sight Good condition. The colors remained very fresh. Large margins: entire sheet never cut. No halos. A few barely visible handling creases, small tears and two tiny marginal foxing, a small impact between 2 letters of the title. Paper slightly browned around the edge at the back, all visible in the photos. Many other objects to discover in my stand at the antique fairs in which I participate.
