African fertility statuette in polychrome carved wood, representing a standing woman, originating from the Sénoufo people in Ivory Coast, vintage early 20th century. This statuette is in good general condition, good quality. Old collector's label under the foot. Most certainly used as part of the Poro of women, to whom mystical virtues are attributed in the context of increasing fertility. Note: a few cracks in the wood, wear on the wood and on the polychrome, look carefully at the photos.
