CHINA XVIIIE
Qianlong period (1736-1795)
Diameter: 23.2cm
This scene is one of a series of designs illustrating the life of Christ. This plate is part of a series that classically reproduces the Nativity, the Crucifixion and the Resurrection. There are variations on the border as well as a series produced in polychrome, to which a scene is added. However, this model is part of one of the classic series with a border decorated in the style of Du Pasquier Viennese porcelain.
