"Gold Vinaigrette"
A very rare Swiss enamelled gold vinaigrette by Sené & Detalla (1795-1805), marked, Geneva circa 1805 formed as an enamelled butterfly, with translucent red enamel sides and base within white enamel frames and taille d’épargne black and white enamel chevron borders, inside a hinged scrolling foliate grille, suspended on a long gold chain with shaped taille d’épargne enamelled floral links and matching ring 40 mm. wide excluding chain.
