"Aubusson Tapestry By Master Lissier Jean Laurent "
1980s reissue of the Aubusson tapestry entitled "Les vendanges", the original of which, very large (495 cm x 246 cm), is in the Cluny museum. Made in the Aubusson workshops in pure wool using the Tournai stitch on a Jacquard loom under the control of master weaver Jean Laurent, it measures 198 cm x 116 cm. The canvas on the back is in perfect condition and the colors are very well preserved. The detail of the composition shows 4 very identifiable scenes: the picking (harvest itself), the crushing, the pressing and the barreling (which seems premature here...) The tapestry is accompanied by the descriptive certificate drawn up during the sale . Like all reissues, these are limited series. This copy is numbered 152 out of 500. Its large size and excellent color retention mean that it will alone adorn your wall in a stylish room as well as in a modern environment.
