Hamon - 5 Photograms & Photomontages

Set of photographs by André Hamon, amateur photographer and member of the Photo-Ciné-Club of Crédit Foncier de France in Paris. These photographs were presented at the Club's annual exhibitions and, for some of them, shown at the exhibitions of other photo clubs. André HAMON (1900-1984) had a “very successful career at Crédit Foncier de France, culminated by an appointment as Knight of the Legion of Honor”. A member of this organization's Photo-Cine-Club, he devoted a large part of his time to photography and the astronomical instruments that he loved making. He was also a member of the French Astronomical Society for 59 years. In 1969, then Secretary General of the Society for three years, he took over the joint presidency of the Instruments and Photography Commissions.
