"Ernest Bussiere, Iris Vase Art Nouveau Ceramic Signed Bussière"
"Iris" Vase – This vase is one of the 29 vegetal ceramics showcased in the exhibition bearing the dual signature of Keller and Guérin Lunéville and Bussière.Like the others, it is part of a collection dominated by the organic plasticity of plant forms that exhibit a matte and glossy glass-like texture, a craftsmanship that has since been lost.
Ernest Bussière was a sculptor and worked on significant monuments in several cities. This ceramic work represents a departure from his usual sculptural endeavors.
These pieces are exhibited in numerous museums such as:
The Museum of the School of Nancy
The Lunéville Museum
The Ariana Museum in Geneva, etc.
