Annular glass gourd lightly grey to pink tinted.
The widely hemmed rim made it possible to close the bottle with a simple leather or fabric, secured by a link (rope or leather lace), while the central hole -made hot immediately after blowing the shape, made it possible to insert a leather or rope loop, for easy transport of the bottle.
3 relief ribbed vertical lines on each side for a very simple decoration.
Nice folk art object item, from 18th cty rural way of life, simple and having survived centuries without accident !
Perfect condition, some usual cooking bubbles, and pontil characteristic of the productions of this period (mark below the breakage of the blowing rod by the glassmaker)
