CHINA, early 20th century Rectangular cabinet on four square legs in volutes with spacers, opening with two leaves in which are inserted two panels in carved and lacquered wood in red, green and gold (probably Ningbo) showing figured scenes of palaces and gardens, surrounded by a band of scrolls of flowers and fruits and auspicious symbols, two other smaller sculpted and lacquered panels on both sides, an openwork decoration of leiwen at the top of the feet, the incised brass lock. H. 132.5 cm - W. 117 cm - D. 42 cm Decor at the top of a detached foot, accident to the left side panel, crack to the right side panel, cracks and wear to the lacquered panels. Missing key.
