"Christ On The Cold Stone, 16th Century"
“Christ on the Cold Stone” was a popular theme in the late Middle Ages. Christ has an air of resignation and abandonment, knowing the suffering that awaits him. But also, looking up to his Father in heaven, a cry for help. The statue was made in the Mannerist style and can therefore be placed in the mid-16th century. The height is 19.8 cm, oak, Netherlands.
