"Vase By Henri Honoré Plé (1853-1922), Art Nouveau."
Important Art Nouveau pewter vase in baluster shape with half-round decoration at the upper part of a reclining young woman and a grotesque mask, and at the base, a child observing a crab. The handle features a foliage scroll and a swan. The body presents a seascape decorated with sailboats on the sea. Signed. Foundry stamp of the Ettlinger Brothers. Height 38 cm. Circa 1900. Model reproduced in “Etains 1900” by Philippe Dahhan. Vase confirmed by Jean Claude Commencal, expert.
