Edouard Ernie : Rare Sterling Silver & Vermeil Strawberry / Fruit Server - Griffins

Incredible Strawberry Server in Solid Silver with spectacular openwork handle representing a GRIFFIN. Spoon enhanced with Vermeil (Gold on Silver) with a meticuolusly detailed acid-etched and chased decor comprised of two griffins in an surround of leafy scrolls and flower. Very fenely crafted from the highest quality silver, it is punched with the Minerva 1st Standard hallmark (.950) and mark of the Master Goldsmith Specialty Jeweler Edouard ERNIE (Hallmark with the initials "EE" and a gaiter) active in 1882. This remarkabre Strawberry Server with its spectacular decoration is in excellent condition with  only light signs of use to note, and presented in its original fitted box lined in beige silk and red velvet.
