Very pretty ovoid earthenware vase with painted polychrome decoration representing flowers on a uniform blue background. This large vase with a height of 30 cm is signed on the bottom: ELCHINGER et Cie. The Elchinger house, founded in 1834 by Wendelin Elchinger, had its heyday. Wendelin's son, Philippe, expanded production into a culinary pottery business. Then, Léon continued the work, before handing over to Fernand, Marc's father, in 1936. From generation to generation, the torch has been passed from hand to hand, always with the same desire to bring this entirely made art to life. hand.
