Beautiful large sculpture of a lioness walking by Christian Aeckerlin (1884 Darmstadt - 1943 Stuttgart).
Cast bronze with dark brown patina. Resting on a rectangular bronze base.
Engraved signed “CH. AECKERLIN", with Gieser stamp "DÜSSELDF. BRONZEGIESSEREI GMBH” (formerly “Düsseldorfer Bild- und Broncegiesserei Förster & Kracht”, founded in 1898).
