Magnificent, imposing and rare artistic vase on pedestal from the Art Nouveau period (around 1890) in acid-etched glass from Emile Gallé in Nancy.Superb decoration of Orchids in acid-etched cameo glass and entirely reworked with a grinding wheel. Inclusion of silver spangle interlayer. It is signed in acid under the vase "Cristallerie de Gallé Nancy, model and decoration deposited" with an orchid in the center.
Height: 20 cm ! Diameter: 18.5 cm ! Very good state. No cracks, no chips, no restoration. Beautiful shape, beautiful colors, magnificent work and rare decor.
Only one similar vase went on sale, it was sold for $10,000 + fees, or $13,000 (or €12,000) in 2018 (see photos).
