Writing table / game table. Directoire period, late 18th century. On a fir frame it is veneered on all sides with mahogany and burl mahogany. The interior of the drawer is made of oak. The top is reversible, offering one side lined with golden tan leather with small irons and another covered with felt. Each side has a mahogany frame. The top is surrounded by a solid mahogany border. The feet are in sheath topped with bec de corbin rings. They end in sabots and casters. This table opens with a drawer decorated with guilloché bronze buttons. The more recent lock is functional and equipped with an old key. Buffer varnish finish. Dimensions: L 81.5 x D 49 x H 74
