Giovanni Cappetti, aka "Giancapetti" is a contemporary master of the great Southern Italian tradition of ceramic art.
Giancappetti achieved international fame above all for his reproductions of eighteenth-century Neapolitan masterpieces, for example the maolica cloister in the Church of Santa Chiara in Naples (1739-1742).
His works are found in important villas, cloisters, monasteries and churches, among which are: Capuchin Convent in Salerno, Palazzo S.Agostino, Seat of the Provincial Council of Salerno, Pontifical Angelicum Institute in Rome.
