Both instructive and moving list from Juliette Drouet listing the expenses and receipts of her “beloved” Victor Hugo: “1st receipt in the cash register…”, “money from my darling’s purse…, “money earned by my Toto…” , further: “money from the purse of my beloved…” money earned by my little man…”, money earned by my darling Toto…”, “money from the purse of my good little Toto…”, “Food and wine there understood as Toto’s food and that of the worker…”, “Maintenance of the house and mailings”, etc…
