"View Of The Indies 1898 By Max Fleischer (1861-1930)"
Very beautiful view of India at the end of the 19th century by the German artist Max FLEISCHER (1861-1930). It is an Oil on canvas signed and dated 1898 lower left, measuring 36.3 x 55.8 cm (38.5 x 57.5 cm with its frame). The work is also titled on the back: "Brahminischer Buddhist Temple Allemand". The painting has just been carefully cleaned by my restorer and is therefore in perfect condition. Max FLEISCHER is a German artist born in Lipine in Prussia, who studied in Breslau then Munich and Paris. He was also passionate about natural sciences and moved to Zurich in 1892 to study geology. At the end of the 1890s, he was invited by the botanist Melchior Treub to Java, where he pursued his activities as a botanist and painter. He also traveled to New Guinea, Australia and South America, before returning to Germany in 1903. Free delivery to Paris possible.
