Individual container for drinking hot liquids. With a rounded base, it rests on a low pedestal, the upper border is slightly flared. It has a vertical side handle, taking the shape of a stylized seahorse emerging from double palm leaves. The saucer is hollow with a flared edge. Decorated with white and gold quivers on a brown background. In the center, beautiful octagonal-shaped medallion decorated in amatie gold with musical attributes on a pebbled background. Dimensions: Cup: High. 8.9cm - Length. 9 cm - Souc. : Diam. 12.9 cm, Mark(s): “Paris” gold brush, Condition: PERFECT CONDITION, Period: EMPIRE, Observation(s): Small wear from use. To date, we only know very few pieces from this “PARIS” decoration workshop. He was a porcelain decorator and merchant at 3 rue de Taranne in Paris from 1802 to 1830, where he decorated porcelain to order and to order which he then sold in his store.
