"Portrait Of Christ On Panel. 17th Century. Spanish, France?"
Superb portrait of Christ blessing, half-length. Almond-shaped eyes, outline of a smile, large golden halo. Spanish school of the 17th century, or France? Very bright, very present painting. An old crack was repaired using a strip of canvas on the back. Solid repair, but still visible, because the old panel is slightly curved. Hence the difficulty in making this crack completely disappear. The whole remains very beautiful and moving. A frame can be offered on request, in addition.
