Magnificent wooden box containing 12 compartmented trays to store six thin glass slides intended for study under a microscope. The box contains a set of remarkable histological thin sections on the embryonic development of the mouse, i.e. 58 anatomical slides: The first nine plates are filled, as well as four compartments of the 10th plate. The histological sections are sometimes frontal, sometimes sagittal. On each slide the stage of embryological evolution ("E") associated with the day number of embryonic development is hand-engraved.
