"Brother And Sister, By Gallian, Pen And Wash"
In the 1880s, publishing the illustrated catalog of the SAF required artists to send a drawing of the painting they wanted to exhibit, so that an engraver could record this drawing in the catalog. The drawing presented is autograph executed by the painter from his painting. Louis Gallian, born in Dijon in 1849 and died in Paris in 1934, student of A. Yon, A. Cabanel and Léon Bonnat, exhibited at the Salon from 1879 to 1923. Member of the SAT in 1889. The work is signed under the boy's foot.
