Stiletto From Southern Italy (calabria?) 19th Century

This dagger probably originated in southern Italy, perhaps Calabria. Its shape reminds the stilettos from this region. It has a rustic appearance, which gives it a certain charm.
The technique used for the wire binding on the handle could evoke sailor's work.
The BLADE is double-edged, with a diamond-shaped section. 2 cm from the guard, a small decoration consisting of a notch on each edge.
Traces of oxidation and multiple sharpenings: we see that this dagger has been worn for a long time.
Length of the blade = 18.8 cm, width at the guard 2.3 cm thickness near the guard 4.7 mm
GUARD: It is made of iron, and its inverted curvature quillons end in the shape of hearts.
HANDLE: It is made of wood, with a decoration of twisted iron wire binding.
An iron ferrule ensures the connection with the guard. A brassflat  pommel to which the tang of the blade is riveted completes the handle. This is the type of mount found on stilettos
