## We present four of them on our Proantic gallery
This type of carpet is special, much happier in the decor and nuances than those knotted in neighboring areas of the Hamadan district.
The weave of these pieces is simple, you can see the two loops forming the knot on the back, but they are very resistant.
The main characteristic of these rugs, quite rare on the market, is this important medallion like a sun that they display in the center of their field.
Our model is adorned with this old pink floral medallion flamed with midnight blue, placed on an orange brick field, set with four spandrels abundantly flowered in blue and an ivory, flowered border, of the most beautiful effect, surrounded by a decoration of stylized branches.
Note the two pendants accompanied by plumes.
A striking contrast, from a blend of the softest quality wool, shiny and fine.
The borders have a superb shine on a cream background where stylized flowers are placed in a row spaced by botehs.
"The artist saw flowers in nature and did not represent them as they are.
It was God who created them so the artist stylized them because only God has perfection."
And this is almost valid for every representation, floral or animal, in Islamic art. The artist must therefore work in the abstract.
A superb carpet, magnificent to look at at the edges, impeccable velvet and short fringes, slight wear from use
We present two other Tafreshs, one from the early 20th century and one from the 19th century, breathtakingly beautiful on our Proantic gallery, see the last photos.
This rug has been professionally and environmentally friendly cleaned.
