"Spaniel, Meissen 1814"
Meissen porcelain spaniel, signed under the tail, rare mark with crossed swords from 1814, model probably by John Joachim Kandler (1706-1774). Rare model of which a similar example is kept at the Petit Palais museum in Paris with the mark in the same place (OTUCK 172), identically the piece presented and that of the museum have a firing recess at the level of the right front leg of the animal (on the left when looking from the front), these 2 examples are perfectly identical, in size, in color) tiny accidents to the claws of the right front paw when looking at it from the front, no restoration.
