"Pair Of Opaline Vases, 19th Century. "
This very beautiful pair of vases is in opaline. In the shape of an amphora, these vases rest on a pedestal and have a constriction under the neck. They are delicately painted in white, with enamel on the body, with a very fine and very elegant neo-Louis XVI decoration, depicting a winged angel among volutes, arabesques and garlands of leaves and flowers. They are enhanced at the base, on the shoulder and at the top of the neck with golden fillets and friezes of small round pastilles. In perfect condition, one of the two has on the foot and the shoulder, some traces of wear to the gilding and a tiny, almost invisible chip inside the collar. One of the two is slightly lighter. Mid-19th century period Height 34 cm.
