Coffee Table In Ceramic And Stoneware From Vallauris, By R.capron, Les Herbiers Collection – 1960

Oblong coffee table from the workshop of Roger Capron (1922-2006). A ceramist whose reputation is well established, Capron has, during his career, surrounded himself with the best names in the profession in his workshop in Vallauris located in the Alpes-Maritimes. This coffee table has 29 tiles, 17 of which are in glazed ceramic and 12 in stoneware bearing the imprint of plants by carbonization technique. One of his last ones contains traces of the artist's stamp where it was initially written: Capron Vallauris France. The edge of the top is lightly molded with streaks. These elements rest on four straight legs.
