"Large Louis XV Style Bronze Wall Fountain Late 19th Century"
Imposing bronze wall fountain in Louis XV style, from the end of the 19th century. The top, decorated with two Puttis intertwining a lion's head from whose mouth water comes out. The two Puttis rest on the basin in the shape of a large font with edges decorated with acanthus leaves, and a medallion in its center. Under the basin, two newts whose plumed tails encircle a large shell, all resting on a moving base. The basin has a water outlet, but since the previous owners used it as a planter, the bottom was pierced several times, as can be seen in the photos. Beautiful verdigris patina.
