"18th Century Rhein Vallée Master Cupboard"
Very beautiful Alsatian master cabinet in walnut veneer on fir.It is topped with a curved, molded and sculpted cornice. It opens with two doors decorated with trendy birds in hot-shaded and tinted wood marquetry on a background of thread walnut, surrounded by strips of boxwood and ebony, the whole framed with crooked wood.
The interior has its original wallpaper, shelves and coat racks.
The base is highlighted with a large molding.
The sides are assembled with the ceiling and the floor by dovetails, the whole rests on four turned legs.
Original hinges and lock.
18th century period in perfect condition.
Very beautiful model of mastery, very balanced, showing the know-how of artisans. Rare of this quality.
