English bookcase in wood painted in the Chinese taste specific to the end of the 19th century. The central projecting body opens with two glazed leaves in the upper part and forms a chest of drawers/desk in the lower register. The recessed side parts are glazed with a single leaf at the top and open with a solid door at the bottom. the shelves are adjustable and note the particularly elegant diamond-shaped glazing. The upper drawer of the central base part, forming a writing desk, is lined with green leather and small storage compartments. The cornice covering the whole is damaged at the left corner. The "Chinese" decor is composed of two medallion scenes on the base side doors and flowers on the drawers and sides of the furniture. Period and Victorian style furniture presented for sale as is.
