Antoine Jallat studied at the Beaux Arts in Saint Etienne, before starting a career as a painter and to settle for a time in Paris. There he met the painters of Montparnasse, and was part of this return to figuration of the 1930s.

Appreciating representing still lifes and landscapes, the artist shows a world of gentle poetry, where everyday objects are sublimated. A brilliant painter of atmosphere, Antoine Jallat makes light the catalyst for a subtle and timeless painting.
