"Kakejiku Cranes Japan Bird Longevity "
Kakejiku of two Japanese cranes with a Japanese pine. They symbolize longevity 1000 years and represent the celestial universe in opposition to the turtle which represents the terrestrial world. This work is from the end of the 19th century signed by shunpo.
